Workshop 1 - Sustainable City Tour Frankfurt
Our Eco-Cultural Workshops project has successfully completed its first activity – the Sustainable City Tour!
Together with the wonderful Simone Beege (@kaleidoskop_wandel), we discovered inspiring places in Frankfurt that stand for sustainable action.
Through group discussions, short readings, and visits to sustainable initiatives, we learned a lot about how each of us can be part of the change.
Thank you to everyone who joined us today! Stay sustainably inspired! 🌱

Workshop 2 - Nature in Focus: Understanding Energy in Everyday Life
As part of the Eco-Cultural project, another inspiring workshop took place under the theme “Understanding Energy in Everyday Life.” During this session, participants reflected on how energy influences every aspect of our routines — from the way we move, cook, and communicate, to how our collective choices affect the planet.
Through interactive discussions and simple calculations, the group explored their own daily energy needs and discovered surprising connections between personal habits and global sustainability. The workshop also encouraged participants to think critically about how small, conscious changes in everyday life can contribute to reducing energy waste and protecting our environment.
It was a meaningful and thought-provoking meeting — a reminder that awareness is the first step toward a more sustainable and responsible future. 🌍💡

Workshop 3 - Nature in Focus: Understanding Energy in Everyday Life
The Eco-Cultural Workshop series came to a close with an inspiring final session dedicated to reflection and action. With fresh ideas and great energy, participants revisited the key lessons of the previous meetings — from understanding energy use to exploring how small, mindful choices can make a real difference in our environment.
Together with a group of engaged young people, we looked once more at our daily routines, discussed creative ways to save energy, and identified concrete steps each of us can take toward a more sustainable lifestyle.
It was a joyful and hopeful conclusion to the series, filled with enthusiasm, collaboration, and commitment to positive change.
A heartfelt thank you to all participants — you are the change the future needs. 💚🌍

Workshop 2 - Energy Saving and Compost Making
🌿 Workshop Completed:
Energy and Water Conservation & Compost Making Experiment 🌍
Balturka successfully completed two meaningful activities in June 2025: Energy and Water Conservation Workshop (a one-week event) and the Compost Making Experiment! These activities aimed to raise environmental awareness and promote sustainability among participants.
Energy and Water Conservation Workshop
This one-week workshop aimed to teach participants how to make their home energy and water use more efficient. Through various awareness exercises and observations, participants gained practical knowledge on how to adopt a more sustainable approach in their daily lives. They tracked their energy and water consumption by filling out a consumption chart, which helped them become more conscious of their habits.
As part of the Eco Culture project, a water and energy saving activity was held with the participation of 15 families and a total of 45 individuals.
✨ Results:
Total water consumption: 28,716 liters
Total energy consumption: 914.32 kWh
Average weekly consumption per person:
Water: approximately 638 liters
Energy: approximately 20.3 kWh
Average weekly consumption per family:
Water: approximately 1,914 liters
Energy: approximately 60.95 kWh
✨ Key Highlights:
Participants learned how to measure and improve their energy and water usage.
It was discovered that small changes in daily routines could lead to significant savings.
A collective awareness was built around adopting eco-friendly habits.
Compost Making Experiment
The second workshop focused on composting using natural methods. Participants learned how to properly combine organic waste to create natural fertilizers for the garden. This experiment helped raise awareness about waste management and improving soil health through organic fertilizers.
✨ Key Highlights:
Participants gained hands-on experience in turning organic waste into valuable compost.
There was an exchange of ideas on how composting contributes to plant growth and enhances soil quality.
Strong awareness was created about eco-friendly waste management and sustainable farming practices.
Overall Evaluation
Both activities sparked a great deal of enthusiasm among participants. Practical information on energy and water conservation was shared, and participants were motivated to adopt nature-friendly solutions. In the compost making experiment, participants both enjoyed the hands-on learning experience and acquired skills that contribute to environmental sustainability.
We believe that these activities represent an important step in raising environmental sustainability and societal consciousness.
🌍 Thank You!
We would like to extend our gratitude to all participants and our partner organizations for making these valuable activities possible. Together, we will continue adopting eco-friendly practices and sustainable habits!

Workshop 3 - Painting Cloth Bags with Natural Dyes
🌿 Workshop Completed: Painting Traditional Symbols on Cloth Bags with Natural Dyes in Lithuania 🇱🇹
We are excited to share that Balturka successfully completed the “Painting Traditional Symbols on Cloth Bags with Natural Dyes” workshop on May 17, 2025, in Vilnius Lithuania!
This inspiring hands-on activity brought together 17 participants, along with 2 staff members from DUNAJ and 2 staff members from ACADEMY VEREIN, to explore the intersection of sustainability, creativity, and cultural heritage.
During the workshop, participants used natural dyes to paint traditional symbols—such as tulips, mandalas, and cultural motifs—on reusable cotton bags. The goal was to promote eco-conscious crafting and reduce single-use plastic, while also celebrating diverse cultural identities through art.
Together, we shared stories, experimented with colors, and created beautiful, meaningful designs that carry both personal and environmental value. The energy was creative, collaborative, and deeply rooted in community spirit.
✨ Key Highlights:
Promoted sustainable practices through creative reuse
Learned about natural dyeing techniques
Celebrated cultural expression through traditional symbols
Fostered intercultural dialogue and teamwork
We thank all participants and our partner organizations for their contribution to this meaningful event. Let’s continue to blend art, culture, and sustainability—one cloth bag at a time!

Workshop 1 - Painting Cloth Bags with Natural Dyes
🌿 Painting Cloth Bags with Natural Dyes 🎨
As part of our Eco-Cultural project, we organized a creative workshop where young participants learned how to make their own eco-friendly art using natural dyes.
Through this hands-on activity, we explored how ecology and creativity can come together. The youth experimented with colors made from plants and spices, decorated their own cloth bags, and discovered simple ways to care for the environment through art.
It was a beautiful moment of learning, teamwork, and sustainable creativity. 💚
Thank you to everyone who joined and made the workshop so inspiring!

Workshop 2 - Eco-Cultural Clean-Up Day
As part of the Eco-Cultural project and in cooperation with the Mokotów District Office of Warsaw, we organized a community clean-up event to take care of our neighborhood.
We were joined by participants from Mobility Academy, EV, Balturka, as well as guests from Lithuania and Germany. This international gathering brought amazing energy — a beautiful example of how caring for nature can bring people together across cultures.
Together, we cleaned the area, shared positive vibes, and spent a meaningful day contributing to a healthier planet. 💚
A big thank you to everyone for your participation and enthusiasm!
Stay tuned and join us for the next Eco-Cultural activities! 🌿

Workshop 3 - Community Tree Planting Day
🌳 As part of our Eco-Cultural project, we spent a meaningful day planting trees together with Nadleśnictwo Łuków, Lasy Państwowe. Despite the rain, the atmosphere was full of good conversations, teamwork, and the shared joy of doing something valuable for nature. 🌧🌿
By planting these young trees, we took a small but important step toward protecting our environment — and we did it side by side with our friends, feeling the strength and calm of nature around us. Not only the saplings will grow, but also the hope and happiness of leaving something positive for the future. 🙌🏼
From now on, every drop of rain and every passing day will remind us of the trees we planted together.
We ended this beautiful day with a cozy barbecue and music — the perfect finish to a meaningful community effort! 🎶🔥
